Yes, be sure to also pick up the Kingdoms expansion. It offers four small and fun campaigns and almost all mods (Med II's real strength) require it. I built my first Pc a few months ago and medieval 2 was the first total war game I picked up. I had never played the game before so I had no nostalgia to base it off of.
Personally, I never really bother exterminating settlements in M2TW. It's just so painful that you both make such a long-term sacrifice (the settlement is reduced to a ghost of its former self for a long time) and a short-term sacrifice (you give up so much money compared to sacking). If a city had an out-of-control huge population, I think I'd
Set camera to total war and controls to fps style (hit f1 and select it). And it controls almost identical to modern ones. Just rebind a few keys and you're good to go
Is medieval total war 2, Kingdoms expansion, worth buying? How much new content does it give? Is a good expansion to the original game?
Divide and conquer mod is insanely good. Broken crecent is amazing. Stainless steel is incredible. 1. Daniel_the_Hairy_One. • 1 yr. ago. Tsardoms for me is really cool, though it might be a bit too jarring for a casual TW player. 1. r/totalwar.
In the first Medieval: Total War the game would end once the turn limit was reached, which was about 400 turns or so, (Depending on which era you chose) it began around 1080 and ends in the early 1400s. I have not reached the end of the 225 turns myself so I'd go with what these guys say. The timeline for the long campaign is the year 1530 but
Medieval 2 is wildly regarded as the best Total War game, only topled recently by Warhammer II, and that too needed about 4-5 years of constant support and fine-tuning. I could go on raving, but I think you get the point.Med1 is a good game, but it's way too ald. Med2 is an absolute masterpiece. Looking at your setup.
Despite falling towards the lower end of ratings for a Total War game, Three Kingdoms is definitely worth checking out. 10 Total War Medieval 2 Total War was the first full-bodied sequel in
Take your time if you're new. My games which I play normally. Can take a total of maybe 8 hours to finish. Its been a while since I played Medieval 2, but a longer campaign ur probably looking at a 10 hour experience. I'd say it heavily depends on how much autobattles you do.
